Luxury at it’s finest

Food and Drink at The Springs Resort and Spa Costa Rica

The Springs Resort & Spa is only a short 10-minute drive into town where you’ll find many restaurants and grocery stores – but there are so many amazing options on site.

Tres Cascadas

Tres Cascadas serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has an upscale Café-style menu with a casual open-air ambiance. During the day the terrace affords a fantastic view of the Arenal Volcano and the Arenal River Valley and at night the lights of the small towns can be seen twinkling on the mountains in the distance.

Ginger Sushi

Ginger Sushi Restaurant is rated one of the best in Costa Rica. The fusion menu has redesigned classic Japanese favorites by adding local tropical flavors and spices to their rolls, soups and salads.

La Laguna Bar

My personal favourite!! This swim up bar is located in the center of the largest lagoon pool. This central pool is surrounded by lush landscaping and has infinity edge waterfalls fronting the volcano and multiple waterfalls. (It was the absolute best place to take pictures and soak up the incredible view).

Sit back and enjoy a pina colada with the best view in town.

Activities at The Springs Spa and Resort

The Best Hot Springs in Costa Rica

With temperatures ranging from 83°F (28°C) to 104°F (40°C) surrounded by raging waterfalls, tranquil forest experiences and infinity pools – you will be sure to find the perfect spot for the day. These are not only the most picturesque hot springs I visited in Costa Rica but the minerals were amazing – my skin felt so soft and rejuvenated.

One of the many hot pools scattered around the resort

The Sanctuary Spa and Fitness Center

Massages, facials, body wraps, manicures and pedicures are offered in a luxurious and holistic setting administered by trained professionals with the latest technology. The Spa menu utilizes tropical botanical ingredients indigenous to Costa Rica as well as a variety of therapeutic volcanic clays harvested from our property.

Club Rio Adventure Center

Club Rio Outdoor Center is located directly below the resort along the mile long stretch of Arenal River.  Some of these tours and activities include Inflatable River Kayaking, River Tubing, Horseback Riding, Rock Climbing and Rappelling, Nature Tours, Hot Springs, and Fishing.  I highly recommend checking out the hiking trails which lead to secluded, natural hot springs and waterfalls.

Found at Club Rio, these waterfall hot pools were one of my favourite places to relax

Animal Sanctuary

In conjunction with the MINAE (Ministry of the Environment and Energy) The Springs operates a conservation preserve for Costa Rican wildlife. All animals have been confiscated from poachers or donated by other private reserves, rescue centers or individuals. The Wildlife Sanctuary gives guests the opportunity to experience a large array of Costa Rican animals living in beautiful, natural habitats.
